What is a Taker?
When you place an order that trades immediately before going on the order book, either filling partially or fully, those trades will be "taker" trades.
Trades from market orders are always Takers, as market orders can never go on the order book. These trades are "taking" volume off of the order book, and are therefore called the "taker."

What is a Maker?
When you place an order that goes on the order book partially or fully, such as a limit order, any subsequent trades coming from that order will be as a “maker.”
These orders add volume to the order book, helping to "make the market," and are therefore termed the "maker" for any subsequent trades.
2. How is the Trading Fee Calculated?
Futures trading fees are calculated as follows:
Fee Formula:
Trading Fee = Notional Value × Fee Rate
Notional Value = Number of futures × Execution Price
Example Calculation
A user places a market order to buy 0.2 BTC futures contracts at a price of 80,000 USDT/BTC:
- Notional Value: 80,000 × 0.2 = 16,000 USDT
- Taker Fee: 16,000 × 0.06% = 9.6 USDT
Later, the user places a limit order to sell the futures at 90,000 USDT/BTC:
- Notional Value: 90,000 × 0.2 = 18,000 USDT
- Maker Fee: 18,000 × 0.02% = 3.6 USDT
