1. What is Copy Trading?
Copy Trading allows investors to replicate the trades of experienced cryptocurrency investors in real-time. When a lead trader executes a trade, the system automatically copies their trading points for the copy traders.
2. Where should I deposit funds for Copy Trading?
Copy Trading shares the same contract account as futures trading. To engage in Copy Trading, you should first transfer funds to your future account.
3. What fees are associated with Copy Trading?
The transaction fees incurred during Copy Trading are the same as the future trading fees on LBank. There are no additional trading fees. Check Trading Fees.
4. How are profits distributed in Copy Trading?
Profits are distributed according to the profit-sharing ratio set by the trader you are following.
For example, if Trader A has a profit-sharing ratio of 10% and you make a profit of 100 USDT while copying them, the amount allocated to the trader would be 100 * 10% = 10 USDT.
Note: To protect followers, profit distribution will only occur after all orders following the same trader are closed. For instance, if you follow a trader with two orders, and after closing, Order A is profitable by 200 USDT while Order B incurs a loss of 100 USDT, the total profit of 100 USDT will be distributed according to the trader's profit-sharing ratio after both orders are closed.
5. Why didn’t I copy the trader's order?
- Insufficient funds in the Copy Trading account;
- The margin requirement exceeds the maximum copy amount set by the user;
- The opening amount is less than the minimum order size, which can prevent copying;
- The trading pair opened by the trader was not selected.
In cases other than not selecting the trading pair, you will receive notifications via email and in-system messages regarding the above scenarios, so please stay updated.
6. Why am I losing money while the trader is making a profit? Why are my profits different from the trader's?
Several possible reasons include:
- There may be a delay in order information synchronization, leading to price discrepancies during significant market fluctuations;
- If the trader adds to a position, the copy trader may fail to replicate this due to the same reasons outlined above;
- If the trader adds to a position with varying amounts, and the copy trader has set a fixed margin, this could result in different average opening prices.
7. Which contract trading pairs support Copy Trading?
8. Other Important Notes:
- If the lead trader currently has open positions, these will not be automatically followed; only new positions opened afterward will be automatically copied;
- Automatic liquidation of the lead trader's positions will be executed at market price;
- After the lead trader opens a position, users can also manually close positions on the contract trading page;
- While following a trader, users can still engage in their own contract trading, and those orders will not be affected by Copy Trading;
- Users can choose to follow multiple traders without any limit on the number of traders;
- Users can cancel following a trader at any time; existing copy orders will not be affected, and you can manually close them via: My Copy Trading - My Traders - Edit Page;
- The lead trader has the right to remove copy traders, and once removed, the trader will no longer follow new orders.
